The organization was founded in 1990 as a parents-helping-parents organization. Since then, FRPSP is the only one organization solely dedicated to defend the rights of deaf and hard of hearing children and their families in the Czech Republic. It also provides services to adult deaf and hard of hearing population.

• Specialized information about communication, language acquisition, education, social and psychological support, deaf culture, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other important subjects
• Information, consultancy, psychological and social worker services for families with deaf children and for D/deaf and hard of hearing people
